The 6th Meeting of the Ministers of Tourism of the Turkic Council will be convened in Kokand, Uzbekistan on June 24, 2021, APA reports citing Turkic Council.
The meeting will be hosted by H.E. Mr. Aziz Abdukhakimov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and will be moderated by H.E. Baghdad Amreyev, Secretary General of the Turkic Council.
The Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, H.E. Fuad Nagiyev, the Minister of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Aktoty Raimkulova, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Economy and Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic H.E. Akylbek Zhaparov, the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey H.E. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and Program Director of International Relations of the Hungarian Tourism Agency Márta Fazekas will attend the meeting.
The representatives from the Embassies of the Turkic Council Member and Observer States, other high level government officials, and experts will also participate in the meeting.
The Ministers will discuss the current situation of the tourism sector in the Member and Observer States and cooperation in the post-pandemic period, restoring international flights and increasing the number of flights between the major cities of the Member and Observer States, “Sacred Visit” tourism project to promote the holy places in the Member and Observer States, which was proposed by H.E. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan during the Informal Turkistan Summit of the Turkic Council. Discussions on the “Turkic Council Modern Silk Road Joint Tour” and “Silk Road Tourism Capitals Initiative” projects will also take place during the meeting.
