Russia no longer believes that US President Donald Trump can force Ukraine to sign a peace agreement on Moscow's terms. For this reason, the Kremlin plans to intensify attacks on Ukraine after the US midterm elections, Bloomberg reports.
According to the report, if Republicans lose to Democrats in the congressional elections, Trump's political position could weaken. This could limit his ability to force Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to make concessions.
The agency also reports that Putin intends to prolong the war, increase attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and exert pressure on Europe.
