"Vaccination of people with a weak immune system against coronavirus is essential. The decision on which diseases the vaccine is contraindicated, belongs to the Azerbaijani government," Head of Representation of the World Health Organization in Azerbaijan Hande Harmanci told journalists, APA reports.
She noted that it is accepted in many countries, some vaccines are given to children under 16: "Researches in this regard are underway. As the WHO, we look at facts. The most important point is following recommendations of the Ministry of Health by all. As we know the virus better, we can give fact-based recommendations. Unfortunately, the pandemic continues. The good point is that we know much more. There are new projects, bur there are not new recommendations. Because previous recommendations work. If a medicine, which treats the virus directly, is found, it will be very good anyway."
