Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited African airlines to launch flights to Russia, he stated during his speech at the Russia-Africa Summit, APA's Moscow bureau reports.
Putin said that this would also create an additional incentive for the development of tourism.
The Russian President emphasized that the multipolar world is indeed becoming a reality and that this trend is objective and irreversible: "Africa is experiencing a period of 'new awakening,' its sovereignty is strengthening, and it is establishing itself as one of the poles of the global economy and politics."
Putin stated that "Western countries are trying to return Africans to debt slavery, impose much-needed financial resources on them on predatory terms, and undermine their long-term development plans."
The Russian President noted that the era when Africa's fate was determined by a limited bloc of states is already over.
