The United Nations Office in Azerbaijan is placing greater emphasis on green growth and climate resilience under the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework signed with the Azerbaijani government for 2026–2030, UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Dmytro Shlapachenko said during his speech at the 9th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Dialogue, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, the volume of investments planned for this area has increased fivefold compared to the previous cooperation framework covering 2021–2025.

"Our role is catalytic in nature and is based on the principle of leaving no one behind. We look forward to working with the government and all stakeholders to identify areas where coordinated UN support for climate action and Azerbaijan's green growth priorities can lead to greater results," he said.

He emphasized that the UN Office in Azerbaijan is committed to supporting this work through the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework signed with the Azerbaijani government for 2026–2030.

"Our shared outcome under another priority of the cooperation framework is that by 2030, people in Azerbaijan will benefit from green growth, a just transition, strengthened ecosystems, and greater climate resilience," he said.
