In accordance with the requirements of the European Convention on Extradition dated December 13, 1957, the petition of the Prosecutor General’s Office for the extradition of Ukrainian citizen Samik Arif oglu Babayev has been granted by the competent authorities of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Press Service of the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
It was noted that reasonable suspicions were established that Samik Babayev had participated in the commission of a premeditated murder. A decision was made to prosecute him as an accused person, and as he fled from the investigation and went into hiding, he was declared internationally wanted.
The Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice is taking the necessary measures to ensure the extradition of the accused to our country.
