Court to consider appeal on re-opening of Abu Bakr mosque on February 19

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov-APA. Baku Appeals Court will consider Narimanov District Believers Communityâ€™s appeal filed against decision of Narimanov Court not to reopen the mosque on February 19, Lawyer of the believersâ€™ community Javanshir Suleymanov told APA.
The court hearing will be presided over by Ilham Asadov.
â€œNarimanov district believersâ€ Religious Community had sued Narimanov district police office demanding to reopen Abu Bakr mosque. At first the court passed a decision to reopen the mosque, but later the court reconsidered the case and rejected the appeal on December 23, 2008. The decision is attributed to the unfinished investigation of the terror attack on the mosque.
