Russian church synod decides on burial of Alexy II in Bogoyavlensky Cathedral
According to the decision, head of the Orthodox Church will be committed to earth in Bogoyavlensky Cathedral on Dec. 9.
Metropolitan Kirill told reporters that the patriarch "verbally had said" that wanted to be buried in the cathedral.
The lying-in-state ceremony for the late Alexy II will begin on Saturday evening and he will be buried
US President George W. Bush offers his condolences over the death of Alexy II.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev cut short his visit to India and returning home as Alexy-II died in Moscow, and he has also canceled his tour to Italy.
