Red Bull Racing Honda RBPT driver Max Verstappen will start tomorrow's Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix from the pole position after winning the qualifying session on Saturday, APA reports citing Teletrader.
In a rainy qualifying session, the Dutchman managed to get the fastest time of 1:25.858 before the red flag was waved due to Oscar Piastri crashing. The session resumed minutes later but the standings remained unchanged.
Haas' Nico Hulkenberg came in second and will start the race from the front row alongside Verstappen, while Aston Martin's Fernando Alonso had the third-best qualifying time and Mercedes' Lewis Hamilton was fourth.
