The drafts of the new Strategy covering 2027–2030 and the Second State Program on the Great Return have already been prepared, extensively discussed at the Economic Council and submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prime Minister Ali Asadov said at a meeting dedicated to the draft state and consolidated budgets for 2027, consolidated budget indicators for the next three years and socio-economic development forecasts, APA reports.
The Prime Minister said that, in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On the Budget System,” the draft state and consolidated budgets for 2027, consolidated budget indicators for the next three years and socio-economic development forecasts have been submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers.
“We will discuss these drafts in detail on the agenda of today’s meeting.
The consistent and purposeful policy pursued by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev during the past period of the current year, as well as his multifaceted diplomatic activities, are opening up new opportunities for the future development of our country. Today, while advancing a consistent peace agenda aimed at strengthening sustainable peace and stability in the region, Azerbaijan also keeps the restoration of the liberated territories, the Great Return, economic diversification and the country’s long-term development among its key priorities. The next medium-term period covering 2027–2030 creates new strategic challenges and targets for the country in terms of the complex geopolitical and economic processes taking place in the region and global development trends.
In this regard, ‘Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development’ and the ‘Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022–2026’ prepared on its basis, as well as the ‘First State Program on the Great Return to the Liberated Territories,’ are of particular importance.
The aforementioned documents are being successfully implemented, and the current year is the final year of the implementation of the Strategy. The drafts of the new Strategy covering 2027–2030 and the Second State Program on the Great Return have already been prepared, extensively discussed at the Economic Council and submitted to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In connection with the new state programs recently adopted by Mr. President, final work on the Strategy is underway, and it is expected to be approved in the coming months,” the Prime Minister noted.
