The opening of the first Khankandi-Baku ultramarathon took place, APA's Garabagh Bureau reports.
The opening ceremony was attended by the head of the sports department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Elnur Mammadov, the President of the Azerbaijan Athletics Federation Javid Gurbanov, and ultramarathon participants. The opening of the ultramarathon took place with the performance of the national anthem.
It should be noted that 64 people are taking part in the first ultramarathon, including about 10 participants from Türkiye, Moldova and Mexico. The participants of the ultramarathon, which started in Khankandi, will cover 380 km and finish in Baku.
