The European Armwrestling Championship for men and women, organized by the International Armwrestling Federation (IFA), was held in the city of Codlea, Romania, the Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
Nearly 600 athletes from 30 European countries competed in various weight categories, testing their strength in intense competition.
Toğrul Shahlarli, a member of Azerbaijan’s national armwrestling team and a sergeant of the State Fire Protection Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, achieved a successful result at the championship. Competing in the 86 kg weight category, he held 11 matches with his left arm and won the bronze medal.
The winner was awarded a diploma and medal established by the International Armwrestling Federation (IFA).
