The award ceremony of the Baku Marathon-2025 was held, APA reports.
The awarding ceremony of the marathon, which took place under the motto “Overcome the Wind”, was held in two categories.
Male and female participants of the marathon competed for the first 3 places on the running track. In each of the male and female categories, the winner of the 1st place was awarded 3,000 AZN, the winner of the 2nd place was awarded 2,000 AZN, and the winner of the 3rd place was awarded 1,000 AZN with prizes and gifts, as well as medals and certificates. The first 2,000 participants who crossed the finish line were also awarded with medals of the “Baku Marathon 2025”. In addition, certificates were presented to all marathon participants and volunteers who supported the organization of the race.
In addition, awards were presented in the nominations “Be Young” (Azercell) among the first students to cross the finish line in the female and male categories, as well as “The oldest participant to cross the finish line first”, “The first corporate participant to cross the finish line”. An entertainment zone was traditionally created on the National Flag Square for marathon participants, city residents and guests. Various entertainment, competitions, sports events were held here, and a musical program with the participation of favorite performers was organized.
It should be noted that more than 400 volunteers were involved in the marathon. 500 volunteers from the RIIB (Regional Development Public Union) from the regions participated in the marathon as participants.
