Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, Secretary-General of the D-8 Organization for Economic Cooperation, has addressed a congratulatory letter to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.
The letter reads:
“On the occasion of the anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, I extend my sincerest congratulations to Your Excellency, the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and its people on behalf of the D-8 Economic Cooperation Organization and myself.
Undoubtedly, under Your Excellency’s wise leadership, Azerbaijan has achieved remarkable successes in socio-economic development, thereby enhancing its role in both regional and global matters.
As the newest member of the D-8 family, Azerbaijan has brought rich experience, dynamism, and a strong commitment to cooperation among developing countries to our organization. We highly appreciate Azerbaijan’s continued support for multilateralism and inclusive development. I am confident that Azerbaijan’s active participation in the D-8 organization will make a significant contribution to the further development of the organization for mutual benefit.
Honorable President, once again, I congratulate you on the anniversary of your Independence Day and wish the Republic of Azerbaijan lasting peace, progress, unity, and stability in the coming years.
