"Today we are launching a peace agreement," said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during a trilateral meeting with US President Donald Trump and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Washington, APA reports.
The head of state said that the peace treaty process has been ongoing for a long time:
“The initialing of the peace agreement is taking place here in the number one capital in the world and with the participation of a great president. This means that there should be no doubts here. If Prime Minister Pashinyan or I had intended to take a step back, we would not have come here. You can be absolutely sure that what is happening here for the people and community of Azerbaijan will lead to eternal, long-term peace.”
