Azerbaijan is attracting investor interest in new investment projects, representative of Azel Systems Igor Yakovenko told APA on the sidelines of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum.
He said his impressions of the forum were positive and particularly highlighted President Ilham Aliyev’s speech.
“My impressions of the forum are very positive. The first day went very well, while the second day began with a remarkable speech by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The President spoke not only about the history of investment in Azerbaijan, but also gave a clear assessment of the current situation in the region and in Azerbaijan.”
Yakovenko said that the investment projects signed within the framework of the forum will contribute to Azerbaijan’s economic development and the creation of new jobs.
He noted that he had held meetings during the forum with investors from the United Arab Emirates and several European countries.
“Most of them are very positive and are seriously considering new investment projects in Azerbaijan.”
The company representative noted that the confirmation of Azerbaijan’s rating by leading international rating agencies is also one of the factors affecting the investment environment.
