President Ilham Aliyev signed an Order on the conscription of citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan for active fixed-term military service from July 1 to 30, 2026, and the transfer of servicemen completing active fixed-term military service to the reserve, APA reports.
According to the Order, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan born in 2008 who have reached the age of 18 by the day of conscription (including that day), as well as citizens born between 1996 and 2007 under the age of 30 who have not completed active fixed-term military service in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, do not have the right to deferment from conscription, or have not been exempted from active fixed-term military service, shall be conscripted for active fixed-term military service from July 1 to 30, 2026.
Servicemen who have completed the term of active fixed-term military service stipulated in Article 38.1.1 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Military Duty and Military Service” shall be transferred to the reserve from July 1 to 30, 2026.
The Cabinet of Ministers must take the measures stipulated by legislation for the implementation of this Order.
