Azerbaijan's experience should be studied by those who do not know how to end wars, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said at the opening of the 7th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue, APA reports.
"Today, we see new wars beginning. Almost every year, we witness how difficult it is to end a war. It is easy to start a war, but very difficult to end it, and winning a war is not easy either. Therefore, I believe that Azerbaijan's experience — the experience of winning a war, fighting a war that was just, seeing the defeated side capitulate, and then not going any further, stopping when it was time to stop and offering peace — should be studied by those who are currently at war and probably do not know how to end it. I think our experience will be very valuable in terms of determining which of the precedents we have established can be used to resolve certain conflicts. Yes, it is true that all conflicts are different from one another, but they all have the same underlying causes," the head of state noted.
