President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has approved a new law on Heat Supply, APA reports.
The law consists of 7 chapters and 26 articles.
Except in certain cases, the designs of multi-apartment residential buildings constructed after the enactment of this Law must provide for the supply of thermal energy to all apartments in the building from a single heat source or through a unified network covering several buildings.
When designing multi-apartment residential buildings, the inclusion of individual heating systems for each apartment in the project is permitted only in cases determined by the relevant authority designated by the appropriate executive body. The presence of such cases is assessed for each building during the expert examination of construction projects in accordance with the Urban Planning and Construction Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
