The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the development, design, construction and operation of a gas turbine power plant in the Republic of Serbia” has been approved, APA reports.
President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree in this regard.
After the agreement enters into force, the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan should ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan should send a notification to the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force.
In addition, the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Serbia on cooperation in the field of food safety” has also been approved.
After the agreement enters into force, the Azerbaijan Food Safety Agency should ensure the implementation of its provisions, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan should send a notification to the Government of the Republic of Serbia on the completion of the domestic procedures necessary for the agreement to enter into force.
Note that both agreements were signed in the city of Belgrade on February 15, 2026.
