Reports of disinformation about Azerbaijan being investigated by Turkish authorities

In recent days, certain media outlets and social media platforms in Türkiye have been regularly spreading disinformation about Azerbaijan.

A source within the Turkish government told APA’s local bureau that the issue is being investigated by Türkiye's official authorities.

“Investigations and analyses are already being conducted on this matter. Consultations have also been held with the Azerbaijani side. The spread of such news is minor nuances that cannot harm the brotherly relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan,” the source noted.

Note that some Turkish media outlets have recently been regularly publishing disinformation about Azerbaijan. These reports are later discussed within the Turkish segment of social media.

Recall that Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir, Press Advisor of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, stated that they are working to develop the Türkiye-Azerbaijan Media Platform and to ensure more active involvement in ongoing processes.

“We will fight against internal and external forces trying to undermine Türkiye-Azerbaijan relations. Mutual dialogue must be maintained, and those forces must be countered. We must become even more closely united. We will leave no gaps for anyone to come between us. Some fall into the traps set by internal and external forces trying to damage Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations. But we must unite more strongly against this,” emphasized Alptekin Cihangir İşbilir.
