Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan expressed condolences over the death of media representatives of the Russian Federation, APA reports.
"On March 24, 2025, employees of media entities of the Russian Federation - military correspondent of the Izvestia newspaper Alexander Fedorchak, operator of the Zvezda channel Andrei Panov and driver of the film crew Alexander Sirkeli, Nikita Goldin, a reporter of the Zvedda channel, were seriously wounded.
The Media Development Agency of the Azerbaijan Republic is saddened by the incident, expresses condolences to the relatives of media representatives killed in the line of duty, as well as to the media community of Russia and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured journalist.
We inform you that ensuring the safety of journalists working in conflict zones is an important condition.
It should be recalled that as a result of the Armenian aggression, the Azerbaijani media has repeatedly suffered similar losses. Thus, Azerbaijani media has suffered a large number of casualties, starting from the 1991 murder of Salatan Askerova, a correspondent of the Azerbaijani Youth newspaper, to the death of Azerbaijani State News Agency correspondent Magerram Ibrahimov and Azerbaijani television cameraman Siraj Abyshov, who died in 2021 in the Susuzlug village of Kyalbajar district of Azerbaijan.
