“Ayna” newspaper suspends daily edition

The newspaper will publish weekly editions afterwards. Editor-in-chief linked this step with financial difficulties which media outlet faces. He said that advertisement market was weakened lately, profits were reduced, and on contrary other expenses rose.
“If one copy of the newspaper costs 18 kopecks, 17 of it are spent to printing. Azeri readers do not want to read main news in their native language. It is not yet known how long this situation will last. The newspaper will be released once a week till our financial situation is better,” he said.
Shikhli said that “Zerkalo” newspaper which is published in Russian provides itself.
“Ayna newspaper is released at the assistance of Zerkalo,” he said. /APA/
