Summer is about to end. Those who rested have already returned. Representatives of Azerbaijani media outlets are among them. APA carried out a survey among chiefs of media outlets, who work hard all the year long, to learn where they rested in summer.
Editor-in-chief of 525-ci gezet Rashad Majid rested in summer two times. He went to Yessentuki health resort for treatment. He has recently rested in Ismayilli.
Editor-in-chief of Iki sahil newspaper Vugar Rahimzade unlike his colleague did not rest, he spent summer in Baku. The editor-in-chief said he engaged in the newspaper’s creative activity and only went to his native village, Nakhchivan.
Editor-in-chief of Ayna – Zerkalo newspaper, chief of Azerbaijani Journalists’ Union Elchin Shikhli said he rested in summer. He also regards his visit along with a group of Azerbaijani media representatives to the US at the invitation of the US Department of State as rest. The editor-in-chief said before he had rested in Bodrum, Turkey.
APA’s director general Vusala Mahirgizi said she did not have time to rest.
“I could only rest a few days in Florida and Portland during the visit to the US with my colleagues in July,” she said.
Novaya Vremya’s editor-in-chief Shakir Habiloglu said that they also had a rest during their visit to the US with his collogues: “I have not been able to schedule a time to rest. I sometimes go to the mountains to breathe fresh air”
Baku Khabar newspaper’s editor-in-chief Aydin Guliyev spent summer in Baku, “I tried to resume our newspapers’ activity. I regard any positive result as a rest.”
Sharg newspaper’s editor-in-chief Akif Ashirli rested just 8 days in summer. He rested 7 days in Bodrum and 1 day in Guba with the newspaper’s staff.
“I worked non-stop in summer,” said Azadliq newspaper’s editor-in-chief Ganimat Zahid saying that he had just some chances to go to his motherland Shamakhi.
Yeni Azerbeycan newspaper’s editor-in-chief Algish Hasanoglu thinks their visit to the US was a kind of a rest for them, “I took a break and rested with my family in Khizi after got back from the US.”
Mediaforum’s editor-in-chief Azar Garachenli rested in Kphne Guneshli settlement, “Our motherland is under occupation, and can not afford break abroad.”
Day.az’s editor-in-chief Elnur Baimov has never taken a break for four years, “I was in the US with my counterparts but it was concerning our job.”
Bizim yol’s Bahaddin Haziyev did not take a break, “I wanted to go to the sanatorium regarding my health. But problems rose about our newspaper made it impossible.”/APA/
