"Türkiye supports efforts to achieve lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia," said Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, APA reports.
According to him, the processes in the South Caucasus directly affect Türkiye's security architecture.
Hakan Fidan also emphasized that the trilateral defense agreement between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan is not aimed at Iran or other states.
"There is no common threat. As long as it does not pose a threat to the countries that signed the agreement, no state will be a target," the minister said.
According to Fidan, the agreement is technically similar to NATO's Article 5. He expressed confidence that Egypt could also join this cooperation at the next stage and did not rule out the possibility of similar agreements with the countries of the South Caucasus.
