Elon Musk has unveiled plans for a vast semiconductor manufacturing facility to be built in the US state of Texas.
Musk said in a post on X that the planned Terafab Texas facility would become the world's largest and "most valuable" building.
According to SpaceX, the facility will cover a total area of about 9.3 million square metres, which would make it the world's largest chip manufacturing plant.
The chips produced at the facility are expected to be used in Tesla's humanoid Optimus robots and Cybercab robotaxis, as well as SpaceX's space-based data processing centres.
Further details about the project's construction timeline and expected production capacity were not immediately provided.
