A reception was held for Azerbaijani journalists visiting Kyrgyzstan at the Kyrgyz President's State Residence No. 2 on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, APA's correspondent on assignment to Kyrgyzstan reports.
Speaking at the event, Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy Salkyn Sarnogoeva welcomed the Azerbaijani delegation.
She said cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in the fields of media and culture is developing, adding that mutual visits by journalists contribute to further strengthening ties between the two brotherly nations.
"Today, the traditional format of media activity has changed. New players, such as bloggers and influencers, have emerged in the information space. At the same time, disinformation, fake news and information attacks have also increased. That is why media organizations should cooperate more closely and jointly combat these challenges," Sarnogoeva said.
The official reception continued with a cultural program. Renowned Kyrgyz artists performed national music and dance pieces, presenting the country's rich cultural heritage to the guests.
It should be noted that the media tour aims to familiarize Azerbaijani media representatives with Kyrgyzstan's tourism, cultural and information potential.
