Imprisoned journalists’ relatives want to meet them

Azadliq newspaper correspondent Mirza Sakit is detained in treatment place of Justice Ministry. The treatment place told APA Mirza Sakit has been cured and will be transferred to detention place #14 soon.
Adviser of Nota-Bene newspaper, Faramaz Novruzoglu, who has recently declared hunger strike in detention place #14, will be transferred to a treatment place this week. The detainee’s wife Tahire Allahverdiyeva told APA his husband is still suffering from health problems. He is expected to undergo a surgery.
Mukhalifet newspaper chief editor Rovshan Kebirli and newspaper correspondent Yashar Agazadeh feel good. Their lawyer Rashid Hajili told APA he will appeal against the verdict. Hajili said they are expected to be moved to jail #1. Baku Appeal Court upheld Yasamal district’s court’s verdict last week.
The editor-in-chief of Sanat newspaper and publicist Rafig Tgai’s health is normal. The chief of Journalists’ Defense Committee Rasat Pirisoylu told the APA, though a group of journalists wanted to meet with their colleagues, they are not allowed to it yet.
Sadagatoglu has been transferred to detention place #5 in Khalaj and Rafig Tagi to jail#16. The founder and editor-in-chief of Gundalik Azerbaijan and Realny Azerbaijan newspapers Eynulla Fetullayev’s parents wanted to meet him, but they received negative reply. Father of editor-in-chief Emin Fatullayev told the APA, he will be allowed to meet with his son late in August.
No investigation is carried out on the case of the department chief of Bizim Yol newspaper Mushfig Huseynov yet. His lawyer Vugar Khasayev told the APA. /APA/
