The walls of the Shusha fortress will be preserved, said the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture in response to an inquiry from APA.
Note that claims have been made on social media that the fortress walls are not included in the Master Plan of Shusha, and photos have been posted regarding this issue.
The State Committee emphasized that various conceptual solutions regarding the architectural style of the city have been developed within the framework of the Master Plan for Shusha: "These solutions serve as guiding principles for the architectural projects to be implemented during the city's future development. The preservation of all immovable historical and cultural monuments, including the fortress walls, which are under state protection, has been considered in the Master Plan."
