"New schools and kindergartens are under construction in the Fuzuli and Aghdam districts," said Emin Huseynov, special representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavand districts, during the 7th ADA Political Forum on April 8, held at Karabakh University on the topic “Facing the New World Order”, APA’s correspondent in Khankendi reports.
He added that Azerbaijan's territories were completely destroyed and devastated during the occupation:
"After the occupation, we only see ruins. In some places, even the ruins are gone. No cultural objects, untouched mosques remain, and not even trees were left. Everything was subject to plunder. All this proves that the reconstruction process is extremely complex."
Mr. Huseynov also spoke about regional infrastructure projects:
"A new airport has been built here, along with four reservoirs, two hydroelectric power stations, and three main pipelines. Additionally, the construction of eight residential neighborhoods is planned. One of them has already been completed. Villages are also being designed and developed. Work is underway on two residential areas, one of which is already under construction."
He highlighted the construction of five schools and kindergartens in Fuzuli and Aghdam:
"In addition to the reconstruction projects, we also have cultural and historical projects. One of them is the restoration of the Juma mosque in Aghdam. This is a structurally sound but desecrated place of worship. The mosque had been used to house pigs and other animals, as well as cattle, basically being used as a barn."
