Train services on the Baku Metro were disrupted on Sunday morning, APA-Economics reports.
According to witnesses, train movement was suspended for more than 15 minutes. They also reported that entry to the Gara Garayev station had been temporarily restricted, while passengers were asked to leave trains at some stations.
Baku Metro CJSC said a train malfunction occurred near the entrance to the Icherisheher station.
A support train has been deployed to remove the faulty train from the line. The company said normal train intervals on the Red Line would be restored shortly.
Trains on the Green and Purple lines are operating according to schedule, and there are no dangerous or serious issues causing concern, the company added.
Baku Metro said it would provide further information regarding the incident.
