US President Donald Trump announced the creation of a working group to coordinate government efforts in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), APA reports.
As Trump noted in a post on Truth Social, following last week's meeting with the heads of Google, Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, xAI, and Nvidia, he is announcing the creation of a "Superintelligence Force."
"The Superintelligence Force will be tasked with coordinating federal government efforts to ensure U.S. global leadership in superintelligence, which many believe is greater than the Industrial Revolution and the internet, as well as protecting the interests and improving the quality of life of Americans," the American leader noted.
According to him, the new working group will also coordinate government efforts with consumers, community leaders, religious organizations, critical infrastructure managers, and technology companies. Trump added that the new structure will be led by Director of National Intelligence Jay Clayton, Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Commissioner Andrew Ferguson, Pentagon Undersecretary for Research and Development Emil Michael, and Chief of Staff Scott Kupor.
