Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine have disabled more than half of Russia's oil refining capacity, the Ministry of Defense informed, APA reports citing RBC Ukraine.

Such strikes significantly weaken the military and economic potential of the Russian Federation.

Analysts from the General Staff, the Defense Ministry and intelligence services assessed the impact of recent long-range strikes.

More than 51% of Russia's refining capacity has been taken offline, resulting from a systematic effort to weaken its war machine.

Recent targets have included the Moscow, Yaroslavl, and Perm refineries; KINEF and Ust-Luga; and the Ilsky, Saratov, Syzran, and other refineries.

"Fifty-one percent of refining capacity hit is a significant blow to the enemy's economy, its ability to wage aggression and supply its military forces. Our deep strikes continue to bring the war to Russian territory," Defense Minister Yevhenii Khmara emphasized.

The effects of Ukraine's operations are accumulating and producing tangible results. One of the Defense Ministry's main priorities remains long-range strike drones that can hit targets deep inside Russia.
