European countries are recording historically low levels of underground gas storage ahead of the upcoming difficult autumn-winter season, said Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller, TASS reports.
“European Union countries are showing historic lows in the gas sector ahead of a difficult autumn-winter season,” Miller said.
According to Gazprom, gas reserves in Europe’s underground storage facilities remain below previous notable minimum levels.
As of October 1, Europe’s gas storage facilities were 72% full, while the volume of active gas in them was 11.3 billion cubic meters lower than on the same date last year.
