The fourth edition of the traditional “European Delights” Culinary Festival, organized by the Delegation of the European Union to Azerbaijan together with the embassies of EU member states, has kicked off, APA reports.
The festival aims to provide the Azerbaijani public with an opportunity to learn about and discover European cuisine, culture and traditions through culinary masterclasses, quizzes, music and other activities.
As part of the festival, the embassies of Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia and Spain will present samples of their countries’ national cuisines to festival participants.
Marijana Kujundžić, Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan, noted that the event is being held as part of a series of activities dedicated to the 30th anniversary of partnership between the EU and Azerbaijan, which is being marked this year.
It was emphasized that the festival is a great opportunity to become acquainted with the national cuisines, cultures and traditions of European countries, discover new tastes and spend a memorable day with family and friends.
The event will continue until 18:00.
