The tuition fees of Azerbaijani filmmaker Afaq Yusifli, who is pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Melbourne, have been fully paid, APA reports.
The remaining amount was transferred to the University of Melbourne by Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency under the ministry, the agency told APA.
Afaq Yusifli is studying in the Master of Producing program for fiction and documentary films at the University of Melbourne.
The issue concerning the payment of her tuition fees had earlier been taken under the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and the Cinema Agency.
Part of Yusifli’s tuition fee was covered under the Ministry of Culture’s special scholarship program for cultural and creative industries. The ministry said it had fully fulfilled its obligations under the program, while a delay by another party in transferring its share had caused the payment issue.
