A total of 46.3 million kWh of electricity has been generated at the Sarigishlag Small Hydroelectric Power Plant in Zangilan during the two years since it was commissioned, APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Energy.
The Sarigishlag Small Hydroelectric Power Plant, a pressure derivation-type facility built on the Okhchuchay River with a total capacity of 10.5 MW, was commissioned on October 3, 2024.
During the stated period, up to October 1, 2026, the station generated 46.3 million kWh of electricity.
According to the Ministry of Energy, the operation of small hydroelectric power plants contributes to the generation of electricity from renewable energy sources, the diversification of energy sources and the reduction of the environmental impact of power generation.
