Egypt is in no way involved in the events in Ethiopia. By making statements to other countries, Addis Ababa is attempting to shirk responsibility for its domestic problems, asserts Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati, APA reports.
"Egypt has nothing to do with what's happening in Ethiopia, as one of the principles of our foreign policy is non-interference in the internal affairs of other states. The Ethiopian government's statements are an attempt to shift responsibility for its own crises onto others," Abdel Aty asserted. The Egyptian television channel Al-Qahira Al-Ikhbariya quoted the minister as saying.
The Arab Republic's Foreign Minister also emphasized that such statements by the Ethiopian authorities "will not ensure the stated stability" and, in Cairo's view, are "unacceptable."
