The traditional city festival “Tbilisoba-2026” is being celebrated in Tbilisi, APA’s local bureau reports.
With the support of Tbilisi City Hall, festive events are being held at five central locations across the Georgian capital.
As part of the celebrations, an exhibition and sales fair titled “Tbilisi Diversity” has been organized in the historic bath district with the support of the Tbilisi City Council. Alongside other national minorities, a corner representing Georgia’s Azerbaijani community has also been presented at the exhibition.
The corner, jointly organized by the Mirza Fatali Akhundov Museum of Azerbaijani Culture in Tbilisi and the Association of Active Azerbaijani Women of Georgia, features examples of national culture and cuisine, as well as Borchali carpets.
A concert programme will also be presented as part of the fair, with the “Jeyran” ensemble performing Azerbaijani dances.
Various cultural, entertainment and educational events await visitors during the two-day Tbilisoba festival.
The celebrations will conclude tomorrow evening with an award ceremony for honorary citizens of Tbilisi.
