Main Directorate for Combating Drugs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan employees conducted another operation in order to prevent the illegal circulation of drugs, the Ministry told APA.
Faig Gozalov, a resident of Masalli district, was detained in Hajigabul district as a result of implemented measures. About 12 kilograms of marijuana enriched with psychotropic substances were found from him. F. Gozalov said that he obtained the drugs on the instructions of a person named Yashar, an Iranian citizen whom he met on social networks. He had to put the drugs in various addresses in the capital city in and inform the Iranian drug dealer about this exchange for money.
A criminal case has been initiated and a pretrial detention measure has been decided for the detained person by the court's decision. Investigations are underway.
