Lawyers participating in Haji Mamadovâ€™s trial take stance to court investigation

Zakir Nasirov and I were the only persons that tried to reveal the issue,â€? a lawyer to former Interior Ministry Crime Investigation Department chief Zakir Nasirov Adil Ismayilov told the APA. Adil Ismayilov said that the trial did not carry out its duty.
â€œThe equality of the sides and the solicitations were not allowed. That is why, I am not satisfied with court. We should wait for the decision of court, if we are not satisfied with the decision of court, we will appeal to the higher instances,â€? he added.
Aslan Ismayilov, the representative of Ilham Gedimzadeh who was kidnapped by Hajiâ€™s gang, said that this criminal case has not been investigated thoroughly in court.
â€œI consider that, no investigation was carried concerning some episodes and some leader persons. I have nothing to say concerning the episodes of my contractor. Generally I express my position as the citizen of this country that to be passed decision will not be satisfactory Azerbaijani people. If we really want get rid of the dangerous groups in the society, we should investigate the fact thoroughly,â€? Ismayilov noted.
Aslan Ismayilov said that as he knew the work of court beforehand, he did not participate in the hearings.
â€œThe preliminary investigation of the criminal case was incomplete and it was sent to court. It is not believable that Azerbaijani courts can find out more facts than the investigation. That is why I did not want to act the role on that stage.â€?
Accused Novruz Nuriyevâ€™s lawyer Agazahid Gulamov said that it is unjust that prosecutors asked 12 years for Nuriyev.
â€œI think that, it is not public prosecutorsâ€™ ideas, it is the instruction given from the leadership. I do not wait for court to pass just decision. Novruz Nuriyev was accused of Rena Nesibovaâ€™s death without any evidences. The examination proved that Rena died of overdose of drugs. We will appeal to the higher instances. I hope that, I will prove that Novruz is innocent.
Accused Mehman Hasanovâ€™s lawyer Samed Panahov told the APA that the investigation of court is not satisfactory.
â€œIt is possible to say that the investigation was not carried out. 20 witnesses should have given testimony, but only two of them were interrogated and the evidences were not investigated. This is the trial of the ones who committed grievous crimes and those who were innocent. Mehman Hasanov does not have any sin; that is why, we will continue our fight until the last court instances,â€? he said.
Saying that he does not believe the just decision of the court, the lawyer noted that the public prosecutors will define the punishment on their own will.
haji Mammadovâ€™s lawyer Samed Aliyev considered unnecessary to give any statement before courtâ€™s decision.
â€œCourt will make final judgment,â€? he said.
Sidek Abdulvahabovâ€™s lawyer Jahangir Nasirov noted that the court was objective; but Husain Abdulvahabovâ€™s lawyer Ulduze Ahmedova was not satisfied with public prosecutorâ€™s demand. /APA/
