European Court rejects to consider appeals of Al-Gaida member Gadji Chankayev’s extradition to Russia

European Court of Human Rights rejected to consider appeals on Al-Gaida member Gadji Chankayev’s extradition to Russia, Gadji’s advocate Elman Osmanov told APA.
He said that the letter says that the court rejects to consider appeals of extradition. He had been sentenced to 7 years in jail by Azerbaijani Grievous Crimes and 5 year and 6 months by Dagestan Court. Gadji Chankayev was extradited to Russia after the appeal of Russian Prosecutor General’s Office. He appealed to European Court of Human Rights considering the extradition illegal. Cassation on the judgment of the gang headed by Gadji Chankayev will be considered by Azerbaijan Supreme Court presided by Muzeffer Agazade on Dec 19. A gang composed of Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, Yemenite citizens trained in Pankisi camps, Georgia. They are found guilty in terror acts, carrying arms, and assassination of Nesimi Police Department officer Movlan Alibeyli etc. /APA/
