The Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process provides wider cooperation in the region and will help fight terrorism and other threats in Afghanistan, said Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani.
He made the remarks at the Heart of Asia – Istanbul Process 7th Ministerial Conference in Baku on December 1, APA reported.
“The Istanbul Process began in 2011, through which we aim to define our commitment to promoting peace in Afghanistan and Asia. This process provides wider cooperation in the region and will help fight terrorism and other threats in Afghanistan and the region. We welcome the launch of railway projects that will lead to the development of the region and expansion of trade relations,” said the minister.
The next ministerial conference will be held in Turkey, announced Salahuddin Rabbani.
