"The recent explosion resulted in the complete destruction of a part of the Azerbaijani Embassy’s perimeter wall, damage to structures, service vehicles, the administrative building, and the Consular Section of the Embassy, as well as serious damage to the diplomatic mission’s compound," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan said in its statement on the summoning of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, APA reports.
"Fortunately, this strike did not result in any human casualties," the statement noted.
Note that on 14 November, at approximately 1:00 a.m., as a result of missile and drone attacks on the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, one of the Iskander-type missiles fell on the territory of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In connection with this, Mikhail Yevdokimov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A strong protest was lodged with him, and a corresponding note verbal was presented.
