More than 5 million square meters of construction is underway within the Sea Breeze project area, founder and CEO of the Sea Breeze project Emin Agalarov said during a panel discussion held as part of the 2nd Azerbaijan International Investment Forum, APA reports.
He said that the Sea Breeze project covers an area of 18 square kilometers and that the project’s initial master plan has been revised several times.
According to Agalarov, more than 5 million square meters of construction is currently underway within the project.
“We are in direct contact with city officials and receive very prompt responses and approvals to accelerate construction,” he noted.
Noting that Sea Breeze is strengthening its position on the international investment map as one of Azerbaijan’s projects, Agalarov said the project’s approach is not simply about selling square meters.
“We are offering a lifestyle, not square meters,” he said.
He said that the experience gained at Sea Breeze could also be applied in other regions in the future.
Agalarov noted that the planned development of the project is expected to be implemented over the next seven to eight years. According to him, the project envisages creating a modern urban environment based on green energy, where golf carts are used instead of cars.
“In a country like Azerbaijan, it is possible to build a new city from scratch based on a proper master plan,” he added.
