A mine explosion has occurred in Azerbaijan’s Lachin district, the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA) said, APA reports.
According to the information, the mine explosion occurred on September 25, 2026, in the territory of Finga village in the liberated Lachin district.
A tractor driven by Ulfat Saday Guliyev, born in 1992 and a resident of Aghjabadi district, hit a mine in an area that had not been cleared of mines.
No one was injured in the incident.
The Lachin District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again urged citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, refrain from touching suspicious objects or entering unfamiliar areas, and not interfere with fenced-off areas.
