Baku. Victoria Dementyeva-APA. “OSCE Office in Baku has prepared a package of events on the upcoming presidential elections,” head of OSCE Office in Baku Koray Targay told journalists, APA reports. He said the Office will hold three roundtables, 4 trainings and a number of small events.
Commenting on the consultations with Azerbaijan regarding the status of the OSCE Office in Baku, Ambassador said the Office will continue its activity within the current mandate until the final decision is passed.
“It is not yet known what is meant when speaking about diminishing the mandate. It will be known after the discussions end. Azerbaijani government has some demands, at the same time OSCE member states have their views on this issue,” he said.
Koray Targay said the situation regarding OSCE Office in Baku differs from the changes in the mandates of OSCE offices in Georgia and Ukraine.
