Malena Mård has been appointed as a new Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan by Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy. She will take office after presenting her credentials to the President of Azerbaijan. Malena Mård will replace Roland Kobia. She was Deputy Director General and Head of Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia in the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, having previously served in St Petersburg, Dhaka and Brussels.
