Azerbaijan, Russia plan deputy PMs' meeting in September

Taking into account the importance of regular contacts and the existing mechanisms of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, a preliminary agreement has been reached between the deputy prime ministers, and a meeting between Shahin Mustafayev and Alexey Overchuk is planned for September this year, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said at a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, APA reports.

The minister said the meeting is expected to cover cooperation in a number of areas.

"In addition, direct flights on certain routes, which have remained suspended following the tragic plane crash in December 2024, are expected to resume in the near future," Bayramov said.
