Date of international conference in Azerbaijan on assistance to Palestinian people made public

Palestine’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Naser Abdel Karim said the conference will be held on June 11.

According to the ambassador, high-level delegations from the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will attend the international conference.

“Azerbaijan has always supported Palestine. The aim of the conference is to support Palestine and Quds, ensure the security of the Palestinian state. Once more Azerbaijan has demonstrated its humanism in this issue,” he said.

Naser Abdel Karim said high-level delegation led by Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki will represent Palestine at the conference.

The aim of the conference is to establish Islamic Financial Security Network with the view of supporting the Palestinian people.

The establishment of the network is reflected in the final communiqué of the 13th summit of the head of state and government of OIC members in Cairo, Egypt in February, 2013.
